Most small businesses hire by word of mouth, and it works until you need someone quickly. A short and honest job post reaches people nearby who can actually come in tomorrow.
What a good job post says
- The role, in simple words. “Counter helper at a bakery” is better than “Sales executive”.
- The pay. If it is a range, give the range. Posts without pay get fewer serious responses and waste time for both sides.
- The hours and days. “2 pm to 10 pm, Friday off” tells someone at once whether they can do it.
- Where it is. The area, so people can work out the travel.
- What you really need. Separate must-haves from nice-to-haves.
- How to apply. A WhatsApp number or email address you check.
On Whisper Perks
Anyone signed in with a verified contact may post a job, and each job must carry a WhatsApp number or an email address. A shop’s job shows its name, tick and a link to its page. People can apply with the CV on their profile, which opens right inside the app, or contact you on WhatsApp or email with one tap. Enough reports send a job for review.
Looking for a job?
Check the pay and working hours before applying, and keep your CV up to date. Be wary of any job that asks you for money upfront: an employer who wants a “registration fee” or your ID card details before meeting you is a red flag. Report such a post in the app.
After you hire
Close the post so that people stop calling, and reply to those you did not choose. In a city where everybody knows somebody, that courtesy travels.
